July isn’t just the start to the second half of the year … it’s also a built-in checkpoint.
It’s the time to assess, adjust, and accelerate.
Maybe you’ve done some of that for your relationships or fitness goals, but don’t neglect this check-in time for your business.
If you live in the world of marketing or business growth like I do, here are 5 questions to help you evaluate the front half and prepare for the back half.
📊 Are you tracking the right KPIs?
Vanity metrics can feel good, but they don’t always tell the truth. Refocus on the KPIs tied directly to pipeline, conversions, and customer retention.
🗣️ Is your messaging still resonating?
What worked in January might be flat today. Revisit audience pain points and value propositions. Is your content still solving real problems?
📉 What channels are underperforming?
Don’t wait until December to drop what’s not working. Pause the underperformers, double down on the channels that are actually converting.
🤝 Are we aligned across departments?
Marketing can’t operate in a silo. Sales, creative, operations, and leadership should be part of your mid-year strategy review.
🧠What did we actually learn in the first half of the year?
Campaign wins and failures both have value. Are you documenting insights and applying them to your Q3 and Q4 planning?
🎯 July is your chance to recalibrate, not just continue.
Yassss!!!
